Commitment

Stage 1: Commitment

Any organisation wishing to embrace the low carbon future requires top to bottom commitment in order to facilitate the necessary change. It doesn’t have to be too onerous ‒ we recognise you have your core business to focus on ‒ but we recommend that the CEO, board of directors or senior management demonstrate their commitment to the rest of the staff by taking on a visible role.

Service: Organisational Analysis

Initial analysis will give LCIC an insight into your organisational culture. LCIC understands that organisations are different not just in what they do but also how they do it. Therefore different approaches to carbon reduction will be more or less effective depending on how organisations think and behave. Working with the Norwich Business School, LCIC has experience of implementing and evaluating different approaches to carbon reduction in different public/private organisations ranging from aggregates extraction to engineering services and from office-based activities to educational establishments.

LCIC can assist with your internal marketing campaign to improve staff take-up. Having engaged over 150,000 individuals to make carbon savings totalling in excess of 250,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent (tCO2e) we are confident that the lessons we have learned will reduce your organisation’s energy consumption and improve efficiency. You can read more about our community engagement and evaluation projects which include Ashton Hayes, Birmingham’s Cutting Your Carbon and Carbonfootyprint.
