Tools

To support delivery of both our Carbon Consulting Services and Innovation Management LCIC has a dedicated software development team able to create bespoke and off-the-peg tools to assist carbon reduction or databases to aid delivery of your projects, programmes and campaigns:

CRed

When the pioneering Carbon reduction tool, CRed, required updating LCIC brought the development expertise in-house. The result is a new and more dynamic platform both easier for the user to navigate and simpler to deploy quickly to any organisation.

The CRed System is the perfect online tool to engage large communities of residents and workforces to reduce their carbon emissions through behaviour change. Now with over one hundred carbon reduction pledges the CRed system’s adaptable format means that it is assisting community carbon reduction in organisations including corporate, higher education and local authorities.

The CRed systems’ unique ‘pathways’ allows a community to define the actions it wishes to take in transport, energy consumption, food, waste and water. The system offers efficiency advice and provides accurate savings figures for each of the pledges chosen thus enabling the collation of total savings made.

Eco Development Evaluation Tool

This programme was developed by LCIC in partnership with Bioregional to evaluate the progress of residential eco-developments through planning, construction and operational phases against 16 ‘eco’ standards. This easy-to-use tool was built to evaluate the progress of projects funded under the Governments Eco-town programme but could be adopted for other developments wanting to achieve high environmental standards.
