Getting your Construction Product Innovation to Market

Change is everywhere in the built environment and over the next few years this is only going to accelerate as the new zero carbon agenda is implemented. There is a desperate need for innovation, not just in new building products and processes, but also in the area of refurbishment however it remains difficult to bring these innovations to market.

This event will bring grant makers, venture capitalists, government agencies, innovators, product developers, product certifiers and construction companies together in order to bring new concepts to market.

Who is organising the event?

This event underpins the partnership involving the Building Research Establishment (BRE) and the Low Carbon Innovation Centre (LCIC) based at the University of East Anglia.

LCIC is the home to the Carbon Connections Programme which has already invested over four million pounds in low carbon innovations. The Centre is also facilitating a 22 million pound European Regional Development Venture Fund which is dedicated to stimulating low carbon innovation in the East of England. LCIC is also working with the Community Local Government Department on the Eco Town programme.

BRE is an independent and impartial, research-based consultancy, testing and training organisation with offices throughout the UK including its main office in Watford and a satellite office at the University of East Anglia. BRE offers expertise in every aspect of the built environment and associated industries. We help clients create better, safer and more sustainable products, buildings, communities and businesses and we support the innovation needed to achieve this.
