Bittern Line Carbon Neutral Stations

Project Summary

Transport Regeneration Ltd., aims to make nine stations on the Bittern Line between Norwich and Sheringham carbon neutral. To complement a study into the feasibility of generating renewable energy at some stations, Transport Regeneration Ltd. sought a solution that would reduce the energy consumption of lighting on station platforms.

This project was carried out by UEA and the CRed carbon reduction team, now part of LCIC, before the incorporation of LCIC in 2008.
